Mignon McGlynn Watt, 85, a lifelong resident of Montgomery, Alabama died September 2, 2017 after a brief illness. She is preceded in death by her husband, William Watt and daughter, Mimi Watt Arrington. Survivors include daughter, Kay Watt Clark (David); sons, William Watt, Jr. and Lewis Anderson Watt (Shannon); son-in-law, Stuart Graves Arrington; grandchildren, Mignon Arrington Lunsford (Thomas); Katherine Cecile Clark; Ashley DuBose Clark; William Watt, III; Albert Anderson Watt, II; Elizabeth Beeland Watt; Lewis Anderson Watt, Jr.; John Thomas Watt; Brunson McGlynn Watt and Mary Frances Fields Watt. She is also survived by three great grandchildren and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Watt attended St. Mary of Loretto Catholic School and Huntingdon College. Happy, as she was affectionately known by her family, was a devoted housewife and mother. A faithful member of St. Peter Catholic Church, she was an active member of St. Anne’s Guild. Happy was a true southern lady who epitomized grace and charm and enriched the lives of those around her.
Graveside service will be held on September 7, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. at Greenwood Cemetery followed by visitation at St. Peter Catholic Church with the family at 1:00 p.m. and Memorial Mass at 2:00 p.m.
