Maxine Yvonne Henderson, age 84, of Montgomery, Alabama passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2022. Maxine was born July 12, 1938 in Arkansas to North and Mary P. Nevill. Maxine is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lavirt Henderson; her sons, David Henderson and Billy Henderson; and her brothers, Jimmy Nevill, Bill Nevill, Gene Nevill, Marvin Nevill, Ross Nevill and Bobby Nevill. She is survived by her daughters, Pam Singer, Patricia (Frank) Mazzaro and Paula Henderson; her daughter-in-law, Kim Henderson; her sister, Patsy Sellman; and Gracie the wonder dog; Roman Hochhalter, long time friend as well as a loving extended family of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends that gave great joy to her life.
A staunch republican, Maxine was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who was dedicated to God, her family and her country. A delightful encourager who was always capable of speaking her mind, she will be remembered for her quick wit, which she passed down to her children and grandchildren.
A family and friends visitation for Mrs. Henderson will be held Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Leak Memory Chapel, 945 Lincoln Rd, Montgomery, Alabama 36109, followed by a celebration of life chapel service at 2:00 PM. A graveside service in Greenwood Cemetery officiated by Rev. Mark Fronduti of Godspeed Biker Ministries will conclude the services.
Pallbearers will be: Adam Bromley, Jay Jackson, Jeff Leep, Frank Mazzaro III, Michael Mazzaro, and Tyler Sadler.
