Mary Theresa Simpson

Simpson, Mary Theresa, 91, a resident of Montgomery, AL, passed away peacefully July 29, 2023. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 2, 2023, from Our Lady Queen of Mercy Catholic Church with Reverend Monsignor Celzo officiating. A recitation of the rosary will be held at 8:30 a.m., with mass to follow and burial at Montgomery Memorial Cemetery, Leak Memory Chapel directing. Survivors include two sons, Charles R. Simpson, Jr., of Hendersonville, NC, and Stephen A. Simpson of Montgomery, AL; one daughter, Terri Simpson Tims of Toone, TN. Mary was blessed with four grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Our Lady Queen of Mercy Catholic Church or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Active pallbearers will be Jacob Janes, Jr., Jason Janes, James Lee, Michael Hora, Jeff Pickens, and Augustus Jackson. The family would like to thank our cousin, Mrs. Jane Poole, our friend, Helene Gereke, as well as the caregivers at John Knox Manor II for the attention and loving care they showed our mother.
