Mary Frances Parker

Mary Frances Cowart Parker, age 82 of Montgomery, was born February 12, 1933, and passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2016 in her home. Mary Frances grew up in Lanett, Alabama. She graduated from Mars Hill College in Ashville, North Carolina, and was an employee of Troy State University.

Mary Frances was preceded in death by her parents; Ernest C. and Ruth T. Cowart of Lanett, AL and two brothers; Charles Cowart of Marietta, GA and George Richard Cowart of Tuscaloosa, AL.

She is survived by her daughters, Susan(Tommy) West of Montgomery, AL, Mary Johnson of Tallahassee, FL and PJ(Dennis) Comer of Tallahassee, FL; three grandchildren, Perry West, Avery West, and Hudson West; one brother, Joe Cowart of Birmingham, AL; and one sister-in-law, Jennie Cowart of Tuscaloosa, AL.

Pallbearers will be Dennis Comer, Adam West, Blake West, Thomas West, Tommy West, and Keith Watkins.

Visitation will be held at Leak Memory Chapel in Montgomery from 10-11:00AM CST. A Graveside service will be held at Oakwood Cemetery in Lanett, AL at 2:00PM CST (3:00PM EST) with Reverend Thomas West and Chief District Judge W. Keith Watkins officiating. Leak Memory Chapel is directing.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Montgomery for Community Ministries/Conversational English or Lottie Moon Foreign Missions.
