Mary Margaret Matthews

Mary M. Matthews, 50, a resident of Montgomery, AL, passed on Saturday, October 9, 2010. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at Fairview United Methodist Church at 3:00 P.M. with Pastor Joel Wasson officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. – 3:00 P.M at the church on Wednesday. Mrs. Matthews was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Edward Matthews; mother-in-law, Clara Matthews; grandparents, Bill and Margaret Covington and Mary and William Walsh. She is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Thomas L. Matthews; children, Luke Matthews, Teresa Matthews, and Amy Hall; parents, William and Willa Walsh of Niceville, FL; sisters, Yvonne Williams (Robert) of Huntsville, AL and Betty McCrory (Steve) of Pensacola, FL; sister-in-law, Brenda Collingsworth (Earl) of Crestview, FL; brother-in-laws, Scotty Matthews of Prattville, AL and Eddie Matthews of New York; nephews, Ryan Williams, Eric Williams; niece, Jessica McCrory and numerous extended family and friends. Mrs. Matthews loved to crochet and do crafts, and loved shopping with her daughter. She was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church on Old Selma Road for over 30 years. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Fairview United Methodist Church Benevolence Fund.
