Martha was born on December 21, 1938, in Millville, NJ, but spent most of her childhood in Norris, TN, and considered Norris her hometown. She graduated from Norris High School, then attended business college. Martha retired from the State of Alabama, but continued working as a Retired State Employee with the Department of Corrections several days a week. Martha was a devoted mother and grandmother, sister, aunt, family member and friend to many. She was also a great lover of animals. Her daughters have many special memories of how much she loved all animals and the many times they came home from school to find orphaned baby ducks, calves, kittens, and puppies in the house. Martha’s deep care and compassion for people and animals was apparent to anyone she met. She will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who were fortunate enough to be part of her circle.
