Margaret N. Martin

Mrs. Margaret N. Martin, 94, of Montgomery passed Friday, March 9, 2012.She was born in Eclectic, AL on Nov 21, 1917 and resided in Montgomery all her life. Mrs. Martin was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. One of her greatest assets was the unconditional love for her family. She was a very special lady and adored by all that knew her. She was a member of Retired Gayfer Girls, Eastern Star, and was a lifelong member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years Calvin V. Martin; her parents, two brothers and one sister. Survivors include William V. Martin and wife Carol, Caroline M. Herring, and John C. Martin and wife Wanda; 6 grandchildren; Cherisa Hall, Brad Martin, Jason Herring, Chris Martin , Lance Herring, Casey Hardy; and 8 great grandchildren and one sister, Eloise Hickman. A celebration of her life will be held at Leak Memory Chapel on Monday, March 12 at 3:30 PM with Rev. Pugh and Ryan Johnson of Aldersgate UMC presiding, with visitation scheduled for 2:00 Monday. The family wishes to thank the loving caregivers at Country Cottage Assisted Living and Amedisys Hospice Care for their tender love and care during her time of need.
