Marcia Ann Johnson

Marcia Johnson graduated from Auburn University where she received a Masters in Business and worked for Regions Bank as the VP Customer Service Manager for 17 years before serving as the Alabama USDA Deputy State Director from 2009-present.

She passionately served on the Distinguished Young Women (DYW) state board for over 30yrs, and faithfully attended Vaughn Park Church of Christ alongside her loving husband of 32 years, Marvin Johnson.

She is survived by her Stepson Michael Johnson (Jennifer), Stepdaughter Terri Waller (Buddy); grandchildren Lindsey Johnson, Michael Johnson, Emily Wingard (Mac), Johnathon Towle; great grandchildren Emmett Wingard and Ivy Wingard; nieces Tonja Sanchez (Ricky), Melanie Hubbard (Shawn), Michelle McAda (James), Tori Bowman; Great nephews and nieces Joshua Hubbard (Tori), Hannah Walker (Andy), Matthew Hubbard (Kaelin), Sarabeth Evans (Matt), Anna- Riley Settle, Parker Settle ( Sophia), Brady Kaufman, Chloe Kaufman, Emma Kaufman ; great great nephews and nieces Noah Hubbard, Clara Walker, Sadie Hubbard, Jackson Hubbard, Jude Hubbard

Nothing could compete with her love for the Auburn Tigers except the love she had for her family. Marcia spent most of her time calling and visiting family for birthdays, weddings, graduations, and other special moments. She cared deeply for each member of her family, especially the smallest ones, her two great grandchildren and five great-great nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Life Chapel Service will be held on Saturday December 28,2024 at 11am from Leak Memory Chapel with family visitation one hour prior. The final interment at Refuge Baptist church cemetery Tallassee, Al immediately following.
