Kenneth Gardner

Kenneth Gardner, age 88, of Wetumpka, Alabama passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Eva Gardner; his brother, Franklin D. Menefee; and his brothers-in-law, Joe Rowe, Adolph Sheffield and Roy Sheffield. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Voncile Sheffield Gardner; his children, Tammie Kim (Mickey) Johnson, Angelia (James) Mason, Rennie Lane (Becky) Gardner and Kenneth Michael (Libby) Gardner; his grandchildren, Kenneth Noah (Mary Beth) Gardner, Lauren (Blake) Brookshire, Tasha Richards, Ty Johnson, Jeromy Mason, Katie (Daeyoung) Lim and Emily Gardner; his great-grandchildren, Collier Edward Brookshire, Alyssa Hicks and Carlie Bouchillon; his siblings, Larry Menefee, Wayne Menefee, Wilma D. Menefee, Rosa C. Menefee, and Olivia R. Menefee.

A veteran of the Korean war, Mr. Gardner returned stateside to become a Regional Manager for G.E. His real passion was fishing as he spent many hours on Lake Martin with friends and family. But fishing was second only to his love for his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and his sweet wife.

A family and friends' visitation for Kenneth will be held Friday, January 13, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at White Chapel-Greenwood Funeral Home, 909 Lincoln Road, Montgomery, Alabama 36109. Following the family and friends' visitation will be a celebration of life, graveside, at 11:00 AM at Greenwood Serenity Memorial Gardens, 909 Lincoln Road, Montgomery, Alabama 36109.
