Kathleen Carr

Kathleen Keith Carr, 86, a resident of Montgomery, AL died January 2, 2023. Graveside services will be Sunday, January 8, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be at White Chapel Greenwood from 12:00 pm until 1:00pm. Mrs. Carr is preceded in death by her husband Charles Carr, parents Millard and Emma Keith, twin sister Katherine Keith, sister Annie Ruth Johnson and brothers Millard Keith, Jr, Jurdy E. Keith and George Keith. She is survived by her brothers James Perry Keith of Jacksonville, FL and Robert Thomas Keith of Millbrook, AL, her children Patricia Davis and husband Melvin, Eric Pugh and wife Tori, Gary Pugh and wife Cathy and Mark Pugh and wife Lorry, 15 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She was affectionately known as Aunt Dean by a numerous number of nieces and nephews. Kathleen loved Jesus which started at a early age at Millbrook Presbyterian Church where she received several Sunday School pins for perfect attendance. She was a seamstress for much of her life. Her son Mark recalls a time she had a dinner to attend so she went bought material laid out her dress pattern made the dress and wore it to dinner that night. She helped organize several Labor Day Parades in which she had the honor of being Grand Marshall. She volunteered at Bama Lanes snack bar for several years and loved the senior league where she became known as Kat or Granny. She was a happy person who shared her light hearted mood with everyone. A few of her favorite things were eating dumplings (no chicken) with her great grandchildren and great nephew Lockin, a bowl of butter pecan ice cream and Alabama football. She loved playing Dirty Santa so she could stir up things to keep the party going. She will be missed by family and friends. Kathleen overcame breast cancer. She fought a long battle of Colitis, dementia and Parkinson's. The family extends a very special Thank You to Enhabit Hospice. Fly High Sweet Angel.
