Herman, Karen Lamb, 62, passed away November 20, 2016 after a battle with cancer. She is survived by her loving husband, David; beautiful daughter, Mallory Elizabeth; parents, Col. Norman and Virginia Lamb; brothers, Casey (Peggy), Kevin (Diane); sisters, Kelly (Steve) Ensor, Casey (Bob) Ownby; brother-In –laws and sister-in law, Judith (Jamie (D) Shujman, Stanley Herman, Michael and Lynne Herman; and loving nieces and nephews. Keren was predeceased by her daughter, Jessica Nichol.
She was a CPA and worked for the State of Alabama for 25 years. She served as an auditor for the Examiners of Public Accounts and retired as the Chief Accountant for the Office of the State Attorney General. Karen was the past president of Hadassah and a sustaining member of the Junior League. She was also a member of Pearl’s Girls.
Karen graduated from AUM even though she was huge Roll Tide fan. Her family would like to thank all of her friends and neighbors who reached out and supported her in her time of need.
Funeral services will be at Leak Memory Chapel on November 22, at 2:30pm with burial following at Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers are Stanley Herman, Michael Herman, William Shujman, Robert Shujman, Bob Ownby and Michael Smith. Honorary Pallbearers are Jerald Labouitz, Neal Labouitz, Howard Rosen, Rick Ginsburg, Nathan Friedlander.
