June Woodruff

WOODRUFF, Margaret June, age 82, of Coosada, died on October 2, 2022, surrounded by her children. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Claire Thompson, and her husband of 63 years, James Woodruff. She is survived by her daughter Joyce Merle (Mark), her sons, Alan Woodruff (Liz), Ricky Woodruff (Angie), David Woodruff (Diane), and Glen Woodruff (Kasi). She also leaves behind 19 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. June was born and raised in Montgomery. She married James at the age of 18 and began to raise her family soon after. She loved her children, grandchildren, and all children. She showed her love for children by serving as a foster parent for several years. June was a member of the Lord’s Church and attended Redland Road Church of Christ. She was a devoted wife, a wonderful and loving mother, and grandmother. She will be greatly missed.

A family and friends visitation for June will be held Friday, October 7, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Leak Memory Chapel, 945 Lincoln Rd, Montgomery, Alabama 36109, followed by a Celebration of Life Chapel Service at 11:00 AM. Services will conclude with a graveside at Montgomery Memorial Gardens, 3001 Simmons Rd., Montgomery, AL. David Phillips officiating.

Pallbearers will be: Alan Woodruff, Ricky Woodruff, David Woodruff, Glen Woodruff, Max Woodruff, and Cade Woodruff.
