Julia Mae Woodfin

Julia Mae Woodfin, 74, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother (GiGi), sister, aunt, and friend went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 20, 2022. She is a resident of Titus, Alabama.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, December 23, 2022, at White Chapel Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Hughes and Pastor Chance Sangster officiating. Burial will follow in Montgomery Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Woodfin served as a dedicated employee for the State of Alabama for over 33 years. She was a loving and devoted mother to all her children. Her faith as a grain of mustard seed (Matt 17-20) guided her in her daily walk with Jesus as her Lord and Savior. Her strength and faith in life was a shining example to all, as she lived her life honoring the fruits of the spirit: Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self-Control (Gal 5:22-23). Her favorite past time was simply spending time with family. She is survived by four of her children, John Woodfin, Roy Woodfin, Loretta Wood (Brad) and Beverly Pugh (Michael); 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, two sisters, Shirley McSherdon (Johnny) and Sue Hamilton (Joey) and one brother, Walter Hamlett as well as a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, loving husband Roy D. Woodfin, son Walter Lynn Woodfin, sister Delene Weldon, and brother Donald Hamlett. Pallbearers will be John Woodfin, Roy Woodfin, Johnathon Woodfin, Justin Woodfin, Christopher Pugh and Brad Wood. A family and friends visitation will be held Friday, December 23, 2022 at 1:00 pm at White Chapel-Greenwood Funeral Home, 909 Lincoln Road, Montgomery, Alabama 36109, followed by a chapel service at 2:00 pm. Services will conclude with a burial in Montgomery Memorial Cemetery, 3001 Simmons Rd., Montgomery, AL and a fellowship meal at Grandview Pines Baptist Church, 346 Deatsville Hwy, Millbrook, AL.
