Judy Ellen Pugh, 75, died peacefully at home 10/29/2021. She was predeceased by her parents, Henry Lewis Pugh, Sr. and Margaret Griffin Pugh, as well as her twin, Trudy Helen Pugh. Judy was a lifelong Montgomery resident. She taught history at Cloverdale School and later was a paralegal. She was a graduate of Huntingdon College and received a Masters Degree from the University of Alabama. She was a loyal and faithful member of Aldersgate UMC (formerly Forest Ave. UMC) where she was active in the UMW, prayer ministry and a card ministry to the homebound and missionaries around the world. She was known for her thoughtfulness and the encouraging words she freely shared with so many.
She is survived by 5 siblings: Henry Lewis Pugh (Gaylen), Jane P. Richardson (Tom), William Talton Pugh, John Barr Pugh, Jill P. Murphy (Bryan). Judy had a particular fondness for her nieces and nephews: Tommy Richardson (Allison), Sandy R. Brownd (Chris), Katherine P. Hanneman (Ben), Jonathan Murphy, Matthew Murphy, Margaret M. Schuneman (Spencer), Michael Murphy and her 9 great nieces and nephews.
Judy was beloved by many for her cheerful and giving nature. She had a true servant’s heart and practiced her faith in all she did.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be directed to Aldersgate UMC, 6610 Vaughn Rd. Montgomery, AL 36116 Pallbearers will be nephews.
Visitation will be 11/2/2021 4-6PM at Leak Memory at 945 Lincoln Rd. Celebration of Life Service will be 11/3/2021 2:00 pm at Leak Memory Chapel with graveside internment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Online condolences may be shared at: www.Leak-MC.com
