Joyce E Hillman

Joyce Ernest Hillman went peacefully to her heavenly home on Monday, September 20, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. Truly one of a kind, Joyce was a devoted mother, a loyal sister, and a dream of a grandmother who loved her family fiercely. She enjoyed golfing, gardening and cooking; but nothing delighted her more than spending time with her family.

Mrs. Hillman is survived by her children Ballard O. Hillman III and Terri Hillman Lander (Steve); siblings Betty June Ritzus (Larry) and Doris Jean Ernest Wingate (James); grandchildren Alyssa Drew Lander, Ballard Lander Smith and Ballyn Hillman Wilson; and four great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her so much joy.

She is preceded in death by her parents John Davis Ernest and Ruby Lynn Ernest; and siblings Jimmy Fred Ernest, Barbara Ernest Taylor, Johnny Lynn Ernest and William Davis Ernest.

Services will be held on Monday, September 27, 2021 at Frazer Memorial United Methodist Church, with visitation at 10:00 a.m. and a celebration of life at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel. Burial services will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Montgomery.

Officiating the service is Dr. Chris Montgomery. Pallbearers are Taylor William Moody, William Stephen Moody, Darrin Anthony Ritzus, Michael Ryan Ritzus, Victor Lawrence Ritzus, James Edwin Wingate Sr., and James Edwin Wingate Jr.
