Mr. Joseph Wayne Cook , 67, who resided in Lowndesboro, Al., went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, February 5, 2017 in Thomaston, Al. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edith and Virgil Cook. He is survived by his lovely wife, Deborah Cook, children; April Cook and Joey Cook, stepchildren; Shawn Culpepper (Bonita), Jason Williams and Hope Williams McCrackin (Patrick), three brothers, Marvin Cook, Raymon Cook and Darryl Cook, grandchildren; Michael, Brandon and Paige, stepgrands; Nathan, Charleston, Carter, Braden, Preston, Madison and Rebekka. Wayne (JW) was a engineer and retired from CSX Railroad. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a jack of all trades. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 from 10:00-11:00 am in the chapel of White Chapel Funeral Home with a graveside service to follow at 11:00 am in Greenwood Cemetery with military honors. Pallbearers will be Braden Culpepper, Preston Culpepper, Madison Culpepper, Patrick McCrackin, Michael Wayne Golden and Brandon McCullers. Honorary pallbearers will be Nolie Oglesby, Michael Oglesby, Ray Maxwell and James Hussey. Arrangements under the direction of White Chapel-Greenwood Funeral Home, Montgomery, AL.
