Jolene "Jo" Blake Evans

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our loved one, Jo B. Evans. Jo was born on August 25, 1940. On June 8, 2023 our Loving Heavenly Father touched her and she was healed. She gracefully entered the gates of Heaven with thanksgiving and praise. Now Jo is reunited with her cherished loved ones that have gone before her, parents Joseph Herman Blake and Jimmie T. Payne, her husband and soul mate Marshall Herman Evans and her precious beloved son Marshall Herman (Mark) Evans.

Jo is survived by her daughter Melissa Evans Hunt (Kent), Granddaughter Jennifer “Jenny” Hunt, Grandson Tyler Hunt (Turner) Brother Jerry Blake and Sister Nita Tolbert (John).

Jo’s family was her passion, the best of her heart and her life’s greatest blessing and treasure.

We will celebrate with hearts of love and give thanks for the life of a saint with a grave side service on June 13, 2023, at 3:30pm at Alabama Heritage Cemetery.

The family would like to give a special Thank You to all the staff at John Knox Manor II. They are angels that provided compassionate care with smiles and loving hearts. The family is forever grateful for the love that was shown to Jo while she was in their loving care.
