John was known to be a remarkable man, who was smart, funny, compassionate, and kind. He was loved by everyone who came into contact with him. In John's eyes, nobody was a stranger. In life, John was a United States Air Force veteran. He truly loved his job, coworkers, and his country. He also absolutely adored being a husband, father, and grandfather.
Mr. Watson is survived by his loving wife, Mary Watson. They have spent every moment together for the last 20 years, never to be seen without one another. Close friends referred to John as the "peanut butter to Mary's jelly." John is also survived by his son, Josh Watson (Kyla); grandchildren, Emily Tucker, Cade Tucker, Ella Watson, Evan Watson; sisters, Joyce Watson Hanson, Sue Watson Braund; and step-brothers, Donnie Foster and David Foster.
John Harlow Watson is preceded in death by his father, Robert Dale Watson; mother, Leetrice Winner Howard; step-mother, Mildred Watson; and his brother, Robert Watson.
John will truly be deeply missed by all of his family and many friends that he also cherished.
In lieu of flowers, the Watson family expressly encourages donations to be made to one of John's most near and dear charities, The Wounded Warrior Project. (https://support.woundedwarriorproject.org)
