PEMBERTON, John William, 93, of Montgomery, AL, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2015. He was a Navy Veteran and retired from the State of Alabama. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and two children Johnny Pemberton and Jodie Pemberton. He is survived by his wife, Gurtha Pemberton; sister, Pert Mott, Lake Mary, FL; a host of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Larry Wright, Tom McGuire, Alva Lambert, Tommy Coleman, Clyde Jones and Ed Norrell.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home with Dr. Neal Epler officiating.
Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Memorials may be made in his honor to In Christ Way at Frazer United Methodist Church.
