Jerry Thomas Kemp went home to be with his Lord and Savior on May 17, 2012. After serving in the United States Air Force, Jerry graduated from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. He was employed for twenty-eight years as a Lighting Engineer for General Electric. Following his retirement, he established Frazer Christian Television (FCTV). He served on the Frazer staff as Director of the Television Ministry until he retired in 2005. Upon Jerry’s second retirement, he served as teacher for the Discovery Sunday School Class and served in many mission outreach ministries. Jerry was an award winning photographer and an accomplished artist. His greatest joy in life was sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with others. He is survived by his loving family; wife, Judy, and daughters Suzanne Simmons (Steve) of Dalton, Georgia and Andrea Runnels (Charlie) of Mentone, Alabama. He is also survived by his grandchildren Kaitlin Sweeney, Reagan Sweeney, Logan Sweeney, Kylie Staton and Sam Moss; brothers-in-law Quenton Baccus (Carolyn) of Waco, Texas, Steve Baccus (Patrinka) of Sheffield, Alabama, sisters-in-law, Bonnie Kemp of Birmingham, AL, Pat Roushakes (Peter) of Vienna, Virginia and a niece, Becky Kemp and nephews David Kemp, Quenton Baccus, Jr., Terry Baccus, George Roushakes, Winston Baccus, Daren Baccus, Steve Roushakes and Jonathan Baccus. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, May 19 at 11:00 a.m. at Frazer Memorial United Methodist Church. Visitation with the family will be prior to the service from 9:30 until 11:00 a.m. in the church parlor. Pallbearers will be Bill Allison, Alex Ansley, Dr. Andy Harris, Mike Hutson, Robert Jackson, Paul Johnson, Dr. Gaeton Lorino, John Rogers and Paul Sims. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Discovery Sunday School Class and staff and volunteers of Frazer Christian Television.
