Jean Woodham Jackson, 68, passed away on April 10, 2017 after a prolonged illness. She was a current resident of Wetumpka but was born and raised in Montgomery. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, York and Verna Woodham. She is survived by her husband Paul Jackson; her daughter and son in law, Michele and Jay Tidwell; six grandchildren, Jessica (Dr. Cole Smith), Joshua Tidwell, Jacob Tidwell, Rosemary Tidwell, Ruby Jean Tidwell, Charles Tidwell; two great grandchildren; and her brother, Richard Y. Woodham. She was a 1965 graduate of Robert E. Lee. She was a decorated member of the Disaster Relief Division of the American Red Cross, where she served at many National disasters including 9/11 Ground Zero. She was a recipient of many awards as a result of her volunteer work which includes Alabama Volunteer of the Year. There will be a Celebration of Life Memorial service at Leak Memory Chapel on Friday, April 14, 2017 starting at 11:00AM. Family will receive guests in the Chapel at 10:30AM.
