Jay Eric Thompson (64) passed away December 2, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents: John Ernest Thompson, Sr. and Grace Teague Thompson. He is survived by: his brother, John Ernest Thompson Jr. (Dr. Martina Thompson) and a nephew, John Eric Thompson (Helyna Bledsoe Thompson).
Jay worked as a respiratory therapist (20+ years) at Baptist South where he specialized in helping premature babies. He served in the Army for 4 years while stationed in Bamberg, Germany. He enjoyed hunting, shooting and sport parachuting.
A Celebration of Life is set for Tuesday, December 5 at 1:00 pm with a visitation prior at 12:00 pm. White Chapel Greenwood Funeral Home will host the services with a graveside to follow in Greenwood Serenity Service. On line condolences maybe shared at: www.whitechapel-greenwoodfh.com
