Sonny, Joe & Cathy,

Your mama was precious to our family.  She was LIGHT & LOVE & FUN!  

One memory among many: She made a picture of a to-scale piano keyboard on grocery store bag paper so she could teach us the keys without our making noise because your dad had to sleep during the day.

Janie was/is an inspiration to many of us!

Sad to hear about the loss of Mrs. Roberts.  I remember her as the Principal at Dozier and how she was so caring to all of us students.  I will never forget how when in first grade I did not want to attend school all day.  I would cry till I got sick so by the third day Mrs. Roberts met my mom and me at the car I got out started crying Mrs. Roberts told my mom to drive off and when she did Mrs. Roberts walked me to class and told me everything would be ok.  She did this every morning for about two weeks.  She was such a special person.

Cathy I was so sorry to hear about your mom.  I have very vivid and fond memories of her.  Even though I won't be able to be at the funeral, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.  All my love.

Cathy, Your mom was a very special person.  She was loving to all. She made Dozier Elementary a great school.  All the teachers learned from her guidance.  She loved the arts and that could be seen when you walked through the building.
. She touched many lives and made them better. She will always have a special place in my heart.

My daughter, Jennifer Robinson, Memphis actually was the one who texted me about Mrs. Janie!  We were both so sad.  My children were at Dozier in late 70's-early 80's.  Occasionally when I had the privilege of seeing Mrs. Janie at Frazer, she remembered all three of them.  Eddie Robinson, Jennifer Robinson, Jeffrey Robinson.  She was so loved by all "her" children.  Not many people stand out in memory as she does.  Know that we all are praying for you, the family and know that she shaped the lives of so many students for God's Glory! Judy Robinson Miller

Cathy, I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your Mom.  She was a special person and loved by so many, including me.  She touched the lives of her neighbors and so many children at Dozier.  You and your family will be in my prayers.

Cathy, I am sad to learn of your mom's passing. She lived a long fruitful life. You all will be in my prayers.

My heart is deeply saddened by this news. Mrs. Roberts was the first principal I worked for. She was a great mentor. I learned so much from her. She was always loving and compassionate for others, showing us by example how to love as Christ loves.  She loved the children and let them know she loved them, she was concerned about their education and safety. She made sure her teachers had the materials necessary to be successful. I was blessed to have had the opportunity to work on her staff. Heaven gained a saint. Love to the family from Becky Baggett Dozier's first Physical Education Teacher

I am heartbroken hearing this news.  This is such a profound loss for so many.  Long ago in my life,she was my principal, she was my confidant, she was my mentor, and she was my friend.  So much that I learned from my dear, dear Mrs. Roberts has stayed with me as my own career lead to a time when I was also given the honor to be a school principal.  For me, her legacy will always remain with me through her example, kindness, counsel, and compassion.  All the family will remain in my thoughts and prayers as you go through another difficult time in such a short period. May God's Peace and Comfort surround you.
