Jane was a woman of many talents. In her free time she loved to paint. She was very artistic and was gifted with the talent of oil painting. On Saturdays you could find her cheering on the Auburn Tigers. She attended Frazer United Methodist Church for many years. She worked for the state and spent many years enriching the lives of many children as a teacher and then retiring from Whitfield Kindergarten as their director. She loved her family, her friends, and her little dog, Lucy.
She is survived by her husband, Frank Ruud; son, Brad Ruud and wife Kelly; daughters, Carolyn Dorman and husband Wyman and Kimberly Gallacher and husband John; grandchildren, Sara Ruud, Savannah Ruud, Madison Ruud, Peyton Ruud, Rex Smith, Maggie Smith, Lilly Smith, Wilson Hodges,Ryne Gallacher and Harper Gallacher; sister, Donna Hines and husband Buddy and Mary Grace Rollan and husband Bud; six nieces, and eight nephews.
She is preceded in death by her son, Michael Ruud; mother, Mary Grace Wilson; stepfather, Thomas Wilson; sister,Tammy Smith; brother in law, Randy Smith; nephew, Dalton Smith; niece, Bonnie Smith; and father, Thomas Gilpin.
Pallbearers will be Rex Smith, Wilson Hodges, Ryne Gallacher, Brian Rollan, Matt Rollan, Justin Rollan, Neil Foster, and Jimmy Brandt.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation on Tuesday, September twenty-seventh starting at one in the evening at Frazer Church, 6000 Atlanta Hwy, Montgomery, AL 36117, followed by a funeral service to begin at two in the evening. A committal service will then take place at Alabama Heritage Cemetery.
