James Jeffrey Cook (Jeff), 59, passed away suddenly Saturday, December 7, 2013. Jeff was born May 26, 1954 in Montgomery, AL and was the only son of Mr. and Mrs. James Cecil Cook, who preceded him in death. Jeff is survived by his wife Jeannine Cook and his first wife May-May Cook. He is survived by his children, Hunter Cook (Christi) and Alison Hegel (Josh), children of Jeff and May-May Cook, and Rachel Pilson (Chris), daughter of Jeannine Cook. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Nathaniel Cook and Weston Cook, sons of Hunter Cook, and MacKenzie Pilson and Lilyan Pilson, daughters of Rachel Pilson.
Jeff graduated Berry High School in Birmingham, AL class of 1972. He attended Auburn University and earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Faulkner University. He was a long-time active member of Frazer United Methodist Church.
Jeff loved life and lived it to the fullest. He was a man of God who pursued a life full of love, compassion, and grace. He was a loyal friend, servant and encourager to all he knew.
Visitation will be held at Leak Memory Chapel on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at 10:00am. Funeral services will be immediately following at 11:00am with Rev. Tim Thompson officiating. Burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery. On line condolences may be made at www.LEAK-MC.com
