Hosea Tidwell

Hosea Tidwell, 84, a resident of Montgomery, AL and member of Highland Avenue Baptist Church went to be with the Lord early Wednesday morning, January 11, 2012. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 13, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at White Chapel–Greenwood Funeral Home with a graveside ceremony immediately following. Dr. Daniel Gillenwater and Rev. Derek Frost will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m.

Hosea was preceded in death by his wife, Merle Tidwell; four brothers, Braxton, Valaska, Roscoe, and Elmer Tidwell; three sisters, Curma May, Stella Walley, and Audrey Bradley. He is survived by his wife Jo Tidwell; sister Myra Tidwell Crenshaw; daughter, Kathy and John Palmer; son, Danny Tidwell; step-son, Jeff and Laura Goodwin; step-daughter, Gina and Steve Housewirth; grandchildren, Hyson and Scott Brown, Rachel and Eddie Johnson, Hanna and Daniel Gillenwater, Dallas and Stephanie Tidwell, Robb and Jessica Palmer, Matt and Mitzi Palmer; step-grandchildren Susan Goodwin, Kyle Goodwin, Kayla, Brandon, and Justin Housewirth; and thirteen great grandchildren; Mark McGehee, Tori Tidwell, Addie Johnson, Will Tidwell, Lydia Gillenwater, Alexis Palmer, Averi Palmer, Ian Brown, Ethan Palmer, Gideon Palmer, Caden Johnson, BabyBoy Gillenwater, and Aden Housewirth.

Active pallbearers are: Robb Palmer, Matt Palmer, Eddie Johnson, Dallas Tidwell, Brandon Housewirth, and Robert Godsy.
