TAYLOR, Hilda Leigh Dismukes, 91, of Montgomery, Alabama, passed away on Wednesday June 1, 2016. Hilda was an avid gardener, painter, seamstress, cook, and cake decorator. Without a high school education, she developed the first computer department at Southeastern Drug Company. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her grand, great-grand, and great-great grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters Linda Cohn (Richard), Teresa Albertus, Cherry Taylor, Alicia Jennings, Marcella Taylor, 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, and her caretaker, Marilyn Richard, whom she came to think of as a “sixth daughter.” She was predeceased by her son, Ronny Taylor; her husband, Herbert Taylor, her grandson, Shane Tusler, and her great-grandchild, Rochelle Taylor.
The family is especially grateful to Gentiva Hospice Care and Home Instead for their kindness and compassion for their mother.
A Celebration of Her Life will be held Saturday, June 4, 2016, at 2 PM, at Leak Memory Chapel, followed by a reception for everyone attending. Condolences may be offered at www.leakmc.com.
