Sincerest condolences to Helen's family. I had the pleasure of working with her 1968-1972 at the old 8th Division Highway Office in Montgomery. Helen was an unforgettable person who brought joy with her everywhere.  To know her was to love her and we will all miss her dearly.  Billy & Joel & family; sweet memories and the blessed assurance that our savior provides will guide you through these trying times.

Dear Billy, Julie, Joel, Randy and family, I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers will be with you all in the coming days.
Helen was a dear friend and neighbor in Montgomery for about 12 years. She and I shared a lot of laughs and my son played with her grandson, Samuel. She was always a hoot and had more energy than ten of me!!! She always had kind words and a smile for me and my family! She brought back the meaning of "friend" and "neighbor".  Just the other day while in our backyard, I asked my husband, how do think Helen would do this? She always had good advice to give and a kind heart. She truly loved her family and I will miss her dearly! Goodbye sweet friend, I will see you again one day.

Helen, Rest in peace, free from the illness that you suffered these past years. We will miss you but rejoice in your reunion with your Savior. Praying for peace and comfort for Bill and all of your family and friends during their time of mourning.

I am so sorry for your loss Billy, Julie and Joel.  My prayers are with you and the rest of your family.  Helen was such a special person and loved by so many people.  I have very fond memories of all of you when I was a child.  She is happy and well now and in a better place. My thoughts and prayers will be with you.

Unfortunately, I never had the fortune to meet Mrs. Helen Houghton.  I cared about Mrs. Houghton though, I know she will be greatly missed.  Mrs. Houghton must have been a good, virtous, loving woman.  A woman who was a master in child raising.   See, I knew Mrs. Houghton though her daughter,  Julie Sahli.  A very loving, caring,  good woman who has helped me greatly in her friendship and caring.  We learn those attributes from our mothers. Great women raise good women to become great.   Mrs. Houghton must have been a great woman.   Mrs. Houghton is at home in peace, with no illness or pain.  I wish for words to give Julie and the rest of the family peace,  to take away the hurt and pain.  I know there are none, when my mother passed all I wanted was her, there were no words.  But knowing someone loved me and cared for me, and lifted me and my family in prayer,  helped me.   So know Julie you are loved.  Know you and your family are cared for.   Please know all of you are lifted in my prayers. Even though I never had the pleasure of meeting Mrs. Houghton,  I lift you all in prayers for love, peace and rest.

One of the best friends anyone could have.  Helen was full of life and a wonderful Christian friend.  Rest in peace sweet friend.  Loved you and always will treasure your memory.
