He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, James Edward Campbell. Mr. Campbell is survived by his wife of 62 years, Rebecca L. Campbell; his children Cindy Campbell, Tommy (Sue Ann) Campbell, and Danny (Jenger) Campbell; his grandchildren Trey Campbell, Travis (Olivia) Campbell, Taylor Campbell, Mary Catherine (Chase) Holliman, and John Daniel Campbell; as well as his great grandchildren Molly James Campbell and Mary Tyler Holliman.
At 24, Harold became owner/operator of the "Y" service station at the fork of Hwy. 31 and 80. Later he created and grew Southern Frame and Alignment where he worked diligently for 50 years. An integral part of the community, Mr. Campbell supported Hooper Academy and was a member of Hope Hull Methodist Church for 80 years. He loved the mountains and snow skiing, Lake Martin and Alabama football, traveling and sharing adventures with friends, but his love for family surpassed all.
A celebration of life visitation for Harold will be held Friday, January 14, 2022 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Hope Hull United Methodist Church, 305 Wasden Rd., Hope Hull, AL 36043, followed by a celebration of life service at 11:00 AM. Services will conclude with a graveside at Forest Hills Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Trey Campbell, Travis Campbell, Taylor Campbell, John Daniel Campbell, Chase Holliman and Scott Tudor.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Harold's memory may be made to Hooper Academy, 380 Fischer Rd., Hope Hull, Alabama 36043.
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Savannah Green, Williams Loving Care, and friends/family for all the compassionate gestures shown Harold in his last days.
