Gwendolyn Eloise Mathews, age 87 of Montgomery, AL, passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2017. She was a lifetime member of Eastmont Baptist Church, and she loved her family dearly. Mrs. Mathews was preceded in death by her husband, John Benjamin Mathews; grandson, Michael Shay Sealy; and her brother Earl Gardner. Survivors include her children, Ron (Amber) Mathews, John (Connie) Mathews, Sandi (Michael) Sealy, Bruce (Rexanne) Mathews; grandchildren, Derek (Jenifer) Mathews, Jamie Mathews, LeeAnne (Donnie) Chowaniec, Ashley (Joe) Liguori, Jessica Perkins, Hunter (Tara) Mathews, Amanda (Matthew) Wright; nine great grandchildren; sisters, Bonnie, Shannon, Silvia; and numerous other family members and friends. Visitation will be from 12:30-2:00 PM, Friday, July 21, 2017 a Leak Memory Chapel.
