Gordon L Trawick, a lifelong resident of Montgomery, Alabama passed away peacefully on the morning of January 19th, 2023. Born in Montgomery on November 7, 1942 to Margaret (Meriwether) Trawick and Lewie H Trawick. He was married to Anna (Ragland) Trawick for 56 years they had two sons, John G Trawick of Birmingham, Robert C Trawick (Taryn A Trawick) of Atlanta, and 5 grandchildren: Jacob P Trawick of Fort Bragg, NC, Tanner S Trawick of Baton Rouge, Philip H Trawick of Birmingham, James T Trawick of Birmingham, and Tyler C Trawick of Atlanta. He was predeceased by his mother, father, and younger brother Kenyon M Trawick. Gordon served his country in the U.S. Navy and was a graduate of Auburn University. He was an executive with Blount International, Blount Strange Automotive, and the Montgomery YMCA. Additionally, Gordon served on the board of The Family Guidance Center for many years. He was a member of Providence Presbyterian Church, formerly Memorial Presbyterian Church. Additionally, he was an avid member of the Montgomery Bridge Club and in his free time enjoyed painting for his family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Exceptional Foundation of Birmingham, 1616 Oxmoor Road, Birmingham, Alabama 35209.
