Glenda Elizabeth Clark

Glenda Elizabeth Till Clark (87) was born on January 2, 1937, in Montgomery, Alabama and passed away peacefully on April 22, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents John Glenn Till, Sr. and Inez Hester Till, her brother John Glenn “Sonny” Till, her grandchildren Aimee Cooley Mather and Walker Rutland Clark. She is survived by her beloved husband of 67+ years, George Donald Clark Sr., her children Tanya Clark Cooley (Don), Tamara Clark Martin (Danny), and George Donald Clark Jr. (Heather). Grandchildren Michelle Cooley Mullen, Elizabeth Leigh Martin (Matt), Whitney Martin Tidwell (Chase), Meredith Clark Martin, Peyton Clark Jordan (Jared), George Donald “Tripp” Clark III, Elijah James “Eli” Clark (Madalyn), and Ella Grace Clark. Great-Grandchildren Price Mullen, Clark Taylor, Bryce Tidwell, Jace Jordan, and EmmaRae Jordan. She is also survived by a host of extended family members and friends. Glenda was a lifelong resident of the River Region and was retired from the Montgomery Public Schools, serving for many years as the bookkeeper at Robert E. Lee High School.

A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, April 26, 2024, at Greenwood Cemetery, with the Reverend Steve Scarborough officiating. Visitation will be at the Graveside starting at Noon. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Courthouse Dogs Foundation at Courthousedogs.org, or to your favorite charity.
