Gene Burlan Cook, Believed In God, Church and Family. A longtime resident of Montgomery, died peacefully on November 3, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Allie Ray Cook. Siblings Leonard Benjamin Cook, Minnie Lee Cook, Lance Cook, Beatrice Cook, Cecil Cook, Leonard Newton.
He is survived by his children: Tommie Jean Cook Black, Francine Eugene Cook Moats, Georgia Etta Cook, Renae Diane Cook, Gene Burlan Cook Jr, and Nathaniel Marvin Cook.
He was a member of the United Pentecostal Church International. Dad was a Minister since 1962, served in the Air National Guard briefly. Dad loved the time he worked at Winn Dixie Grocery Store. In his life he was a husband, dad, father of 6, grandfather of 18 and great grandfather of 14. Some kids would say he had an Abraham complex.
He loved his cat, cheeseburgers, the color red, watermelons, gardening and cars. His bright eyes, sweet smile, funny faces and preaching will be missed.
Services will be; Visitation Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 pm
Funeral Service will be Friday November 6, 2020 at 2:00pm at White Chapel-Greenwood Funeral Home with burial following at Forest Hills Cemetery.
