Webb, Frances Brice, 86, of Montgomery, AL died Monday, July 25, 2011. Fran is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dr. Edwin Lee Webb, a pediatrician and allergist in Montgomery for 30 years. She is survived by her son, Edwin Lee Webb II (Nee Nee) of Wetumpka, AL, and two daughters, Elise Webb Neeland (Dr. David) of Montgomery , and Janet Webb Pyne (Rick) of Austin, Texas; seven grandchildren, Edwin Lee Webb III ( Rebekah) of Fairhope, AL; Leslie Neeland Harvey (Thomas) of San Francisco, CA; Elizabeth Neeland Fetzer ( Dave) of Charlotte, NC; Collins Lawton Webb ( Rachel) of Birmingham, AL; Suzanne Pyne Lair (Jonathan) of San Diego, CA; Lauren Pyne Roberson ( Bart) of Dallas ,Texas; and Catherine Pyne Herndon ( Alex) of Denver, CO. She is also survived by five great grandchildren, including Anna Kate Lair, Jenna Grace Lair, Virginia Webb Harvey, Brice Morton Webb, and Alice Frances Webb. A beloved and devoted wife and mother, Fran was an active member of the community, serving as president of several organizations including the Montgomery Autauga Elmore Medical Auxiliary, the Women of the Church at Westminster Presbyterian Church, and the Alpha Delta Pi Alumnae Association. She was also a Sunday School teacher, a two-year Bethel Bible Series teacher, and a Girl Scout and Cub Scout leader. In later years she was an active member of First United Methodist Church, attending the Wesley Fellowship Sunday School class. Fran enjoyed the lifelong friendships she established in the Athenian Club, the Daffodil Garden Club, the Daughters of the American Revolution, and in her bridge, sewing, and supper clubs. She attended Texas Christian University and graduated form the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a BA in both English and French. Visitation will be Friday, July 29, 2011 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at First United Methodist Church of Montgomery. Funeral services will follow at the church at 10:30 am with Dr. Lawson Bryan and Reverend Fred Fuller officiating. A private burial service will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
