Ervin Lee Baty, a proud veteran of The United States Army and longtime resident of West Plains, MO, passed away on May 3rd, 2024 at the VA Medical Center in Tuskegee, AL.
Ervin was born on July 5th 1946 to Gladys Dixon and Elmer Baty. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he served for 4 years aboard the USS Shangri la . He later enlisted in the United States Army where he retired as a Master Sergeant in 2001. He was very proud of his service and loved his country.
Ervin was preceded in death by his parents Gladys Dixon, Elmer Baty and Paul Dixon. He is survived by his wife, Paula of 53 years, his children Don Liles, Teresa Liles and Erica Bradley, as well as 10 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Jeannie Layman of Silver Creek, WA, several cousins and many friends. He loved his family and was very proud of all he accomplished.
A graveside inurnment service will be held in Rover, MO, on Sunday, June 2nd, 2024, at Jolliff Cemetery at 10:00 AM followed by a Celebration of Life.
