Emma Jean Campbell, age 86, passed away on Saturday, March 13, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Dan & Mary Alice Kidd; and brother, Clarman Kidd. Survivors include her loving husband of 65 years, Dr. Billy J. Campbell; three daughters, Monette Stuart (Mose), Melissa Basso (Miky), Melanie Banks (Stuart); five grandchildren, Worth Stuart, Murray Stuart, Kirsten Basso, Gil Banks, Campbell Banks; and sister, DeBitha Harrelson (Alton).
Mrs. Campbell was an active member of Eastern Hills Baptist Church since 1973. After 19 years of faithful service, she retired from the American Red Cross. She was active in the community and volunteered at Baptist Hospital and the Cancer Center for 12 years. She was loved by her family and will be missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services will be on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at Eastern Hills Baptist Church at 11:00am. Rev Rick Marshall officiating. A private burial will follow at Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo.
The family requests no flowers, and memorials may be made to Eastern Hills Baptist Church in memory of Emma Jean Campbell.
