Ellen Tyson Auerbach

Ellen Tyson Powell Auerbach died Friday, April 22, 2016, at home after a courageous battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Creagh Wilson Tyson and Archibald Pitt Tyson, Jr., her husband, Edwin H. Auerbach, Jr., her daughter, Carol Auerbach Jones, and her sister, Mary Chapman Proctor.

She is survived by her loving children, John Miller Powell, III, Mitchell Tyson (Ty) Powell (Michelle), Katherine Auerbach Johnson (Paul), and Edwin H. Auerbach, III; her nine grandchildren, Edwin Hart Johnson (Mary), Richard Parker Johnson (Kristy), Edwin H. Auerbach, IV (Chelsea), Sarah Holland Jones Kornegay (Kevin), Michael Hogan Jones, Jr., Sara Margaret Auerbach, Miller Chadwick Powell, Mary Morgan Powell, and Anna Tyson Powell; her two nephews, Carlton Proctor and Robert Proctor (Margaret), and her many precious great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 27th at Young Meadows Presbyterian Church, 5780 Vaughn Road, Montgomery, AL 36116. Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m., followed by the memorial service at 11:00 a.m., with the Reverend Kirby Smith officiating.
