Elizabeth Brown Walker

Elizabeth “Liz” Walker passed away in her home in Tallassee, AL on July 13, 2021. She was born October 17, 1940 in Ragland, AL. Mrs. Walker is preceded in death by her parents, James and Ruby Brown, and siblings, Debbie Armstrong, Jimmy Brown, and Faye Broadhead, and stepson in law, Dennis Kilborn.

She is survived by her husband of 38 years, John Walker, her sons, James Michael Gamel and Jeffrey Scott Gamel, her step daughter’s, Lisa Kilborn, Tracy Gamel, grandchildren, Jonathan Gamel (Leah), Danielle Hodge (Jazz Brown), Dustin Hodge, David Hodge, Tiffany Thornton (Anthony), great grandchildren, Elijah and Aaliyah Brown, Sydnie, Baylie, Karsyn, and Liv Gamel, Adelyn, Jake, and Cash Thornton, siblings, Patricia Stamps, Amanda Kay Garrett, Cecil Brown (Sarah), Cathy Simmons (Kenny), and sister-in-law, Julia Brown.

Elizabeth worked in the banking industry for most of her life, retiring from the Bank of Tallassee in 2003. She spent her years of retirement enjoying family and her precious grandchildren. She will be missed but her memory will live on through her family.

A visitation is set for Monday, July 19, 2021 at 10:00-11:00 am in Leak Memory Chapel with a chapel service beginning at 11:00 am. Services will end at Brookside Cemetery in Millbrook, AL.
