Elizabeth Pointer Cain, 71, passed away on Friday, January 22, 2021. She was an excellent teacher who never met a stranger, loved young people and was eager to help anyone she met. She was an active member of Whitfield UMC serving others and was past president of the UMW women’s organization. She was a loving mother and a great cook.
Mrs. Cain was preceded in death by her husband, Donald I. Cain; son, George Hannon McAllister; her parents, Elizabeth & Charles Hannon Pointer; and her brother, Charles Pointer, IV. Survivors include her son, Donald Anthony Cain; siblings, Martha Blue (Matthew), Ferdinand Pointer (Linda); sister-in-law, JoEllyn Pointer; a nephew, Charles Pointer (Katherine and their children, Gus, Grace, & Graham; and a niece, Carolyn Pointer (Scott Moomaw) and their children, Nora, Josh & Lia Moomaw.
Graveside Services will be at 10:30am on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at Greenwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Whitfield UMC.
