Eleanor L. Roll

Eleanor LaVonne Roll, age 74, of Hope Hull, AL, died Wednesday, September 8, 2010 after a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be held Monday, September 13, 2010, 2 p.m. at Leak Memory Chapel with Rev. Johnny Rush officiating. Burial will follow at Montgomery Memorial Cemetery with pallbearers Ben Atkinson, Jim Gill, Bill Huneycutt, Glen Kelly, Billy Sellers and Jerry Todd. Visitation will be held Sunday, September 12 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Leak-Memory Chapel Funeral Home.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Edward Roll and leaves behind two children, Lawrence Richard Roll (Michelle) and Marla Sue Hanvey (Steve) from Hope Hull, AL; four grandchildren, Michelle Leigh Esco (Brandon and great-grandson, Tyler) of Millbrook, AL; Steven Joseph Pitts (Billie and great-granddaughters, Anna Grace and Abby) of Montgomery, AL; Jennifer Nadine Pitts (Gary Wagner and great-granddaughter, Leah) of Prattville, AL and Lauren Rachel Morrow (Drake) of Opp, AL; also, two step-grandchildren, James (Ellena and children, Luke and Ava) Noble of Broadview Heights, Ohio and Stephanie Alona Hanvey of Montgomery, AL.

Born December 18, 1935 in Altoona, Kansas to Carl and Dorothy Wing, she was the second oldest of four children. She leaves behind two brothers and one sister; Ronald (Zelda) Wing of Broken Arrow, OK; Myrna Lanning and Richard Wing both of Coffeyville, KS. Residing in Prattville, AL, she leaves behind one sister-in-law, Larry Dean (Roll) Miller. She is lovingly remembered by a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
