Edna Mackilee Boddy

Mackie was an excellent seamstress and made clothing for herself and her daughter for many years, including her own mother-of-the-bride dress. She was a wonderful minister's wife for over 55 years and she and her husband enjoyed entertaining people in their home over the years. She loved playing games such as Yahtzee, Monopoly, Spinner, and many others. Mackie worked as a Real Estate agent for several years. She and her husband were married nearly 66 years.

Mrs. Boddy is survived by her loving husband, Charlie Boddy; daughter, Sherri Gleaves (Scott); son, Jeff Boddy; sisters, Gwen Means (Vernon) and Ardie Benson (Jimmie); brother, Jeff Carroll (Ann); grandchildren, Lindsay Gibson (Brian), Nathan Gleaves and Taylor Payne (Matt); great-grandchildren, Amelia Gibson, Addison Gibson and Payton Payne; as well as many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her father, L.J. Carroll and mother, Flossie Carroll.

A visitation for Mackie will be held Tuesday, July 16, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home, 10505 Atlanta Highway, Montgomery, AL 36117, followed by a funeral service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
