Edith Bryant, 99, died in Montgomery AL on October 29 2020. She was born in Louisville KY in 1921 and grew up in Kentucky, Wyoming, Georgia and Tennessee. She had vivid memories of living through the Great Depression. After graduating from East Nashville High School, she worked for the War Department in Atlanta during World War II, another historical event leaving intense memories with her. From there she moved to Montgomery and, later, to Andalusia AL, where her daughter and three sons grew up. In 1994, she returned to live in Montgomery, where she worshipped at University Church of Christ.
She was a loving and supportive mom who loved adventurous family vacations. Later in life, she enjoyed travel with friends. She was a gifted seamstress and an imaginative holiday decorator. Many remember her fondly for her delicious homemade pies.
She was an avid sports fan, following the Atlanta Braves and especially her much beloved Auburn Tigers. War Eagle, Mom.
One son preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, two sons, her deceased son's widow and three grandchildren. She leaves us with many fond memories and much shared laughter.
The family asks that any memorial contributions in her memory be made to the University Church of Christ in Montgomery AL, or to a charity of your choice.
