Ed Sloan

Wiley Edward Sloan, age 89, of Montgomery, Alabama, passed away October 20th, 2023. He was born to William Allen Sloan and Nora Bailey. He served as a Private in the Army during the Korean War. Ed operated his own business working as a plumber, welder and backhoe/dump truck operator. A family man, he enjoyed spending time with his family and a variety of dogs, lastly Charly, his shih-tzu.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Paul, Bill, Watson, Woodrow, Lehman, Thomas, and Jessie; and sister Claudie Bell. He is survived by his loving wife Connie Sloan and daughter Rhonda (Clayton) Mitchell.

A Family and Friends Visitation for Ed will be held Wednesday, October 25, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Leak Memory Chapel, 945 Lincoln Rd, Montgomery, Alabama 36109. A Celebration of Life Chapel Service will occur Thursday, October 26, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Leak Memory Chapel. Services will conclude with a burial in Greenwood Cemetery.
