Donna Jo Foster

Visitation will be on Monday, October 25, 2021 at 10:00am at Leak Memory Chapel with a service at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Greenwood Serenity Memorial Gardens. At her request, her nephews will be pallbearers to carry her to her final resting place beside her nephew, Dale Owens, Jr. Pallbearers include Jeff Davis, Curt Davis, Chris Davis, Brandon Owens, Nick Singleton, Dalton Blackwell, and great nephews, Jeff Davis, Josh Davis and Todd Davis.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth Richey Foster; father, John A. Foster, Sr.; and nephew, Dale Owens, Jr. Loving survivors include her sisters, Sharon Bowling Davis (Joe), Sheila Foster Owens (Alan), Dawn Foster Blackwell (Steve); as well as lifelong friend, Michelle Morris Flowers.

Donna worked and retired from Giles Industries. She was an avid Alabama Fan!! Donna never had children, but was a second mom to all her nephews and nieces, including Jaxon Davis, Haley Davis, and Elizabeth Davis, who in her eyes could do no wrong. Donna was her mama’s true wild child who thought rules were meant to be broken and boundaries pushed to the limit. She lived life on her terms, right or wrong, her way. She was stubborn and hardheaded but would do anything for you. Her passion for music of all kinds was her biggest hobby and the beach was her happy place.

The family would like to extend their thanks to Dr. Avery and his wonderful staff for the excellent care and to Baptist Hospice, especially Nurse Lena, for their compassionate and loving care.
