Donald Lacey Dawkins, 72, passed away on December 7, 2018. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Beverly; his mother, Jessie Lee Dawkins; his brother, Max Dawkins; and his grandmother, Ettie Smith. He is survived by their children, Chris Dawkins (Angel), Jimmy Dawkins (Kristy), Donna Grier (Chris); his wonderful granddaughters, Chelsea and Cameron; and two very special friends, Marie Fitzgerald & Albert Sharpe.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 14, 2018, at Leak Memory Chapel at 1:00pm with a Memorial Service at 2:00pm with Rev. Art Long and Arnold Fuller officiating. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Albert Sharpe, Wayne Roy, Steve Wilson, Jake Pyron, Jim Knutson and Tyrone Dejarnet. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Tom Cawthon, Ron Sterling, Jack Jackson, Robert Carlisle, Johnny Postma, Clay Sharpe, Jamie Sharpe, Carney Sharpe, Tommy Ratliffe, Tim Head, Ted Price, Mark Worley, Dennis Hall, and T.J. Jackson.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Harold Cox and his staff, as well as Adams Drugs East for their kind and professional care for both Don & Beverly through the past few months.
