All these years later I only just realized Dr. George died. I worked with him in the late 1980s in Montgomery at St. Margaret’s Hospital. He was a brilliant physician and an interesting man with a wicked sense of humor. I am so sorry to so belatedly learn of his too premature death at age 61. What a tragedy.

I will miss him, so caring and there is nothing I can say to help his family in there healing but to let them know that they had a great man in there life.

David George was my teacher and my colleague. As an ER physician, I could always breathe easy when he was on the receiving end of one of my cardiac patients. He was a wonderful loving energy in the field of medicine who was truly beloved by all his patients and colleagues. A brilliant star that will never fade in the hearts of all he touched. My deepest sympathies to his loving wife and children.

Dr. George has been my doctor since 2000 and I am so thankful for his dedication to the medical field.  He is in a better place now.  I am so thankful he will not be suffering any more.  My prayers are with his family.  Bless you all.  Most sincerely.

He was a special doctor and a caring human being.  He saved my life on more than one occasion.  I am very saddened and he will be truly misses. My prays are with his family but please know, his life made a real difference in this world.

April 2, 2015  I was very saddened to hear of the passing of Dr. George.  Dr. George treated me for a number of years and I truly believe he saved my life at least twice.  He was a great doctor and a very kind person.  My most sincere condolences to his family at this difficult time.

Just more than 7 years ago Dr. George saved the life of my husband, Scott Shirley.  he had developed an occlusion of the left arterial descending artery ( the widow maker).  Within minutes of his arrival at BMC South Dr. George had him in the cath lab and Dr. George expertly completed angioplasty and stent placement. He suffered absolutely no heart damage.  I know that God used Dr. George that night in order that my darling husband would be healed. I am forever greatful to Dr. George. We are devastated to hear of his passing.

Dr. George was my cardiologist and my good friend for the past fifteen years.  During that time he saved my life not once but twice.  How do you thank someone for that?  I last saw him in November 2014 for my annual checkup and all appeared well with him.  I always enjoyed talking to him about his family and the progress his two sons were making in their lives.  He was so proud of his grandson!  He always asked about my 15 year-old grandson who had cancer 2+ years ago.  (He's doing really well now.)  You and your family will be in our prayers and I pray our Heavenly Father will bring you peace and comfort.  For me, the world will be a sadder place without David George.

Dr George was truly a remarkable man.I, as many was blessed to know him as he cared for patients.He lit up the unit with his unique brand of humor and his telling of the mundane events of life in a hospital.   He will be greatly missed.
