On Wednesday, May 3rd, 2017, Angels rejoiced as our Lord and Savior called home Cynthia Claire Price “Cindy”. She was born October 7, 1954 to Omega Griggs Burritt and Joseph Martin Goetz in Allentown Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by her father Joseph Martin Goetz and her stepfather Richard R. Burritt. She is survived by her mother, Omega “Meg” Burritt, her daughter Alyson (Jeff) Biles of Greenville, Georgia, her two sisters, Sharon Jones and Jill (Barry) Mask of Wetumpka, her grandmother Lucille Hines, her nephew Lee (Courtney) Jones and great nephew Logan Jones of Nashville, Tennessee. Cindy was an employee of the State of Alabama for many years. She loved her family and adored her two cats Emily (which had left paw prints on her heart) and Callie that she often called “Chocky Face”. She was an avid scrapbooker and crafter and graciously volunteered at several local organizations. The family is grateful for the loving care that was given by Ms. Almeda Harris, Ms. Lovely DeRamus, and all of the members of Hospice of Montgomery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Monday, May 8, 2017, at White Chapel-Greenwood Funeral Home, 909 Lincoln Road, Montgomery, Al 36109. There will be a private graveside service for immediate family only. We will miss her big heart, her giving nature, and a smile that would light up a room. While we grieve our loss, we must remember, she is celebrating and reuniting with loved ones she has greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting contributions be made in the honor of Cindy Price to: Hospice of Montgomery, 1111 Holloway Park, Montgomery, AL 36110, Montgomery Humane Society, 1150 John Overton Drive, Montgomery, AL 36109, or Montgomery Cancer Wellness Foundation, 4145 Carmichael Road, Montgomery, Alabama 36106.
