Craig Richard Hopson, 48, passed away on April 9, 2011 after an extended illness. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Melinda S. Hopson; his son, Chandler Reed Hopson; his daughter, Macy Cate Hopson; a grandson, Carter Reed Hopson; his parents, Carl and Ramona Hopson; sisters, Laurie (Mike) Green, Lynn (Ken) Doble and Lisa (Brian) Anderson; sisters-in-law, Melanie (Dewey) Jenkins and Mari Beth (Monty) Moreland and several nieces and nephews. He was a long-time member of Landmark Church of Christ and Vice President of Turner Insurance and Bonding. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 11, 2011 at Landmark Church of Christ. Friends and family will reassemble at Alabama Heritage Cemetery after the service for burial. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Pallbearers will be: Wayne Bowling, Mike Bingham, Todd Borland, Tim Lee, Tommy Bone and Frank Dean.
