Claudia is survived by her children Gary M. (Brenda) Johnson; Donald G. (Jennifer) Johnson; David R. (Betty) Johnson; and Glenda J. (Glenn) Jordan.
Claudia was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, John Glenn Johnson; father Jesse M. Taylor and mother Beatrice Taylor; her mother and father in law Sally and Herbert Johnson; and granddaughter Somer A. Johnson.
Mrs. Johnson leaves behind 10 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren to cherish her memory as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
An accountant who worked for the government, Claudia was known as a great cook who developed her skills growing up in the country. From banana pudding to chocolate cake and chicken salad casserole to pot roast, her children all had favorite requests. She enjoyed traveling near and far, Mexico and Alaska but even day trips with her church senior adult group. Active in her Sunday School class at Heritage Baptist church, she attended as long as her health allowed. Her grandchildren were her delight and she loved them all, showering them with her love and attention.
A family and friends visitation for Claudia will be held Sunday, September 27, 2020 at 12:00 PM at Leak Memory Chapel. Following the family and friends visitation will be a celebration of life graveside service at 1:00 PM at Greenwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Claudia's memory may be made to 50th Anniversary Offering, Heritage Baptist Church, 1849 Perry Hill Road, Montgomery, AL 36106.
