Christopher Michael Teel

Christopher Michael Teel died at his home surrounded by his loving family and friends on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at the age of 55. He was preceded in death by his mother, Judy Culver Craddock and his father Van Michael Teel.

He is survived by his precious girls Sarah Austin and Emily Rachel Teel (Angie); sister Judy Collins Teel (Andy); nephew Max Collins; uncle Earl Culver (Averette).

Chris was born and raised in Pensacola, Florida. He graduated from Booker T Washington High School with honors. He attended Huntington College and then decided to join the United States Air Force and was stationed at Keesler in Biloxi. From there he moved back to Montgomery where he became a surgical scrub tech and then OPA-C for Alabama Orthopaedic Specialists (Dr. Bob Burton, Dr. Edward Palmer, Dr Steve Barrington, and Dr. Hartzog).

Chris had a unique quirky whit and loved to make people laugh. He loved to read, cook, play guitar and ride his bike. He was a true friend and loved his girls more than anything in the world and those who were close to him knew how special they were. Chris loved Jesus and had peace in knowing where he would spend eternity. We find peace in knowing we will see him again.

We appreciate prayers and support from family and friends during this difficult time. We are so thankful for the loving care shown to him by Shelley Byrd, Hospice of Montgomery and all his dear friends who prayed and loved on him during the last few weeks.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation for Christopher on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home, 10505 Atlanta Highway, Montgomery, AL 36117. A family graveside service will occur Thursday, October 6, 2022 beginning at 11:00 am at Oakhill Cemetery, N Main Street, Atmore, AL 36052.
